Gattonside (circa 1885) is a magnificent Victorian Mansion, designed by Henry Hunter and is National Trust & Heritage listed. It opened as a luxury B&B in 1999 and has 8 suites with their own private bathroom. Gattonside is nestled within an acre of gardens in historic Battery Point.
Gattonside has a breakfast room, a guests lounge where complimemtary port and chocolates are supplied each evening and mini bars in every suite containing Tasmanian beers, soft drinks and wine. Gattonside can also offer wireless internet services to all guests.
Gattonside has just purchased new Digital LCD televisions & DVD players for every suite & offer a library of DVD Movies for your enjoyment.
Gattonside is a non-smoking establishment however guests can use the areas outside such as the verandah and gardens.

From the Tasman Bridge, stay in the far left lane and follow it on to Davey Street. At St. Davids Park turn left from Davey Street into Sandy Bay Road and then drive approximately 500 metres and turn right into Gattonside.
Gattonside is situated 1 kilometre from the CBD and a 3 minute walk to Salamanca Place and Hobart's waterfront.
Gattonside has ample of off street parking and secure lock-up garages for motor cycles.

Gattonside is situated on Sandy Bay Road, on the fringe of the city and historic Battery Point is in the immediate vicinity. A short three minutes stroll takes you to the restaurant strip in Hampden Road and Salamanca Place. It is the perfect place to base yourself while exploring the surrounding areas such as the Huon and Derwent Valley, Mount Wellington, the Tasman Peninsula, Richmond and Bruny Island.
